A dedicated service controller ensures all maintenance and callouts are planned. Each service technician has his own company vehicle and all the necessary tools, test equipment, batteries and spares on hand, to perform prompt and efficient servicing either at our workshop or on site. Our technicians work on a strict 24 hour callout roster which through our helpline ensures that technical support is always available. Alpha Power prides itself on service excellence which accounts for the tremendous growth the company is experiencing. Our technical support network is in Cape Town, East London, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, Gauteng, Windhoek, Botswana and Tanzania. Maintenance Contracts Contracts are held throughout Natal, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Tanzania. Our Contracts can be taylor made to suit a specific need. Our standard contracts are as follows: a) 2 routine services per annum b) 2 routine services per annum including labour and traveling costs for callouts c) 2 routine services per annum including labour, traveling and spares for callouts d) 2 routine services per annum including labour, traveling and spares for callouts on a 24 hour basis. We have UPS Systems from 600va to 200Kva on maintenance contracts. Repairs to all makes of UPS Alpha Power has sophisticated test equipment such as power analyzers digital storage oscilloscopes, phase rotation meters, RMS meters and comprehensive tool kits. Our spares' holding is substantial, from the smallest resistor to large inverter transformers. Our technicians are qualified to work on most UPS systems available in Africa. Battery Replacements These are done either in our workshop or on site. Replacements vary from one battery weighing 1kg to 100 batteries that weigh in excess of 3 tons. Cabling Division This division was formed to complement our UPS division. Our experienced cable technicians install network, telephone and power cables. We have secured a number of large contracts and work throughout the Republic of South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique and Madagascar. We have a wavetek network analyzer and as such can obtain printouts of cable parameters as well as certify sites. Our cable teams have experience in CAT 5, CAT5E, CAT6 and fibre.
